Books + Sensory
New books and sensory supplies for the 3 nursery classrooms and for therapists to use in home visits and telehealth sessions. Sensory play helps build critical skills related to language, motor development, problem-solving, emotional regulation, and early learning. Sensory bins and hands-on materials create meaningful opportunities for children to explore, engage their senses, and develop foundational skills through play. Books and early reading experiences are equally important, helping toddlers build vocabulary, strengthen listening and communication skills, spark imagination, and create positive early associations with learning and literacy. Being able to replace some of our well-loved books and introduce new sensory toys and filler will be a wonderful treat for the babies, families and staff.

SSB Family Day
Help make meaningful connections possible by underwriting the cost of an SSB Family Day, including our annual Day at the Zoo and additional events we hope to schedule throughout the year and in various parts of the state. All current and alumni families are invited to attend these events at no cost.

Pretend Play
Pretend play is an essential part of early childhood development, helping toddlers build language, social-emotional skills, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and confidence through imaginative exploration. We are in need of new baby dolls for the nursery, and would like to purchase pretend cochlear implants and hearing aids for the babies as well, helping them to feel more comfortable with the listening technology. We are also eager to replace the old play kitchens in our classrooms and purchase other pretend play materials that encourage communication, storytelling, cooperation, and joyful learning through play.

Technology
Technology plays an essential role in how we deliver service to our families. Each of our 3 nursery classrooms are in dire need of a new ipad which allows them to not only track important information, but also to stay in touch with families and share photos of their child throughout the day. Support for technology will also help us purchase chargers for cochlear implants and batteries for hearing aids.

Miles for Milestones
Help cover therapist travel time and mileage so babies and families continue receiving care at home. Although the state reimburses SSB for the time our therapists spend at a family's home or daycare, they do not pay for travel time or reimburse for mileage. Help underwrite the cost of this travel to ensure we can give support to those that need it, wherever they may live!
